Dr. Minnich has served as a consultant at many colleges and universities, foundations and other institutions. Her work focuses on developing effective, inclusive, equitable systems and processes that foster authentic relations among people and excellence in achievement. It falls broadly into the following focus areas:
- National and regional higher education studies and planning
- Collaborative institutional planning
- Curriculum planning and change; teaching
- Evaluation, collaborative design, and future planning for programs and departments
For example, she has worked on:
- A multi-year national project on “Diversity, Democracy and Liberal Learning” for a higher education association
- Strengthening diversity initiatives across a large state university
- Assessing the situation of a women’s studies program at a women’s college
- Evaluating a philosophy department at a state university
- Advising a foundation on the needs of women’s studies today
- Advising a foundation on developments, emerging needs and promising possibilities in liberal arts education
Dr. Minnich values cooperative work with the stakeholders involved, and can put together a team of consultants from outside when that is desired and needed.
